Nathan & Jaime

A Dutch Themed Wedding

"Are you kidding me?!" These were the words I couldn't stop saying during this whole wedding. Such a BEAUITFUL Dutch Themed wedding! Every detail about this wedding was absolutely gorgeous. The bride had blue shoes, the bridesmaid's dress was blue and white, and they served delicious Dutch treats like almond patties, donut holes, and almond tassies at the reception.

Jamie and Nathan got married at First Reformed Church in Orange City, IA on July 29, 2017. Having a wedding the end of July is risky, but the weather was like the rest of their day - perfect!

I loved photographing the couple's first look at a vineyard where Nathan's uncle and aunt live. Nathan used to spend his summers at this vineyard and his mom is buried there, so it was a very special moment for him to see his bride there on their wedding day.

Nathan and Jamie are from Texas, but because of the family and the wonderful memories of Iowa, they decided to have their wedding in Orange City.

One very special thing that was shared with me was that the engagement ring belonged to Nathan's mom and the wedding band belonged to Jamie's grandma. All of these little details just make it that much more special.

This day was a joy. The couple and their family were so easy to be with, I felt like a part of the family! And it was so special to see such love between two people. I love photographing weddings and this couple definitely reminded me why.
