Drew & Lindsey

Some wedding days leave a lasting impression not because everything goes exactly as planned, but because they beautifully reflect the love, strength, and family at the heart of the celebration. Lindsey and Drew's wedding was one of those unforgettable days. I am so grateful I got to be a bridesmaid, and the photographer of my sister in law’s wedding day!

On a beautifully windy day in Orange City, Iowa, Lindsey and Drew began the next chapter of their lives surrounded by the people who mean the most to them. Before the ceremony even began, they shared one of the most intimate moments of the day during their first look.

Away from the excitement of the day, they exchanged private vows, taking a few quiet moments to reflect on the promises they were about to make. They also exchanged meaningful gifts that perfectly reflected the foundation of their relationship.

Drew surprised Lindsey with a coffee table photo book filled with treasured photographs of her and her dad. The gift was an incredibly thoughtful way to honor his memory and remind Lindsey that his love would always be a part of her life. There wasn't a dry eye as she turned each page, remembering the special moments they had shared.

Lindsey's gift to Drew was just as meaningful. She presented him with the Bible they would use throughout their marriage. It was a simple yet powerful reminder that, as they begin this new chapter, they are committed to growing together in love and in faith.

Soon after, family and friends gathered at First Reformed Church in Orange City for a ceremony filled with joy, emotion, and heartfelt moments. Although the wind made its presence known throughout the day, it only added to the beauty—lifting Lindsey's veil, creating stunning portraits, and serving as a reminder that even the unexpected can become part of the story.

One of the most touching moments of the ceremony came as Lindsey made her way down the aisle. While her father's absence was deeply felt, his love was evident in every part of the day. Her two brothers had the honor of walking her down the aisle, a moment that reflected the incredible bond they share and the unwavering support of their family.

Family was woven into every detail of the celebration. Lindsey and Drew included all of their nieces and nephews in the ceremony, making each of them an important part of the day. The girls looked absolutely adorable as they walked down the aisle, while the boys proudly embraced their role as the "Ring Security," bringing smiles and laughter to everyone watching.

Their wedding palette was soft, elegant, and timeless. Gorgeous pistachio bridesmaid dresses paired beautifully with pink and white floral accents, creating a fresh and romantic atmosphere that perfectly complemented the summer celebration.

Following the ceremony, everyone gathered at Prairie Winds Event Center to celebrate the newlyweds. The reception was filled with heartfelt toasts, laughter, incredible food, and a dance floor full of family and friends celebrating Lindsey and Drew.

One dance, however, stood out above all the rest.

Instead of a traditional father-daughter dance, Lindsey shared a special dance with the men who have faithfully stood beside her through life's journey—her brothers, her brothers-in-law, and her grandpa. It was a beautiful tribute to the people who have carried, encouraged, and loved her through both joyful seasons and difficult ones. It was impossible not to feel the depth of love in the room as they surrounded her, honoring both her and the memory of her dad while watching photos of them during the dance. Drew also shared a special dance with his mom.

Throughout every part of the day—from the quiet exchange of vows during their first look to the joyful celebration on the dance floor—it was evident that Lindsey and Drew's wedding wasn't simply about beautiful details. It was about legacy, faith, family, and choosing one another through every season of life.

Lindsey and Drew, thank you for allowing everyone present to witness such a meaningful celebration. Congratulations you two!!
